Mission & History
The SBDC hosted by LBCC provides one-on-one counseling, business training seminars in marketing, financing, business start-up, international trade, and procurement programs to small businesses. One-on-one counseling sessions and introductory business seminars are also offered in Spanish. Special focus is placed on serving emerging markets and minority and women owned businesses.
In partnership with the Center for International Trade Development (CITD) hosted by LBCC, the SBDC offers specialized services in International Trade to small businesses including consulting, training, on-going technical assistance, procurement matching opportunities, foreign market research, trade missions/shows assistance, training seminars in various international trade topics, customized projects, and other trade related services. Services are provided to small businesses by expert consultants. The CITD also provides internship opportunities to students in international business programs
